Barolo wine tour - Best wines tour from Turin

We went on a guided tour of wine tasting, It was very professionally done by the alba wine staff Tour. That was amazing, We left with more knowledge on wine making and the different types of wines.

Amazing company. My dad and I did the 4 Day wine tasting/ tour. I would highly recommend doing this if you have the time. Our driver was Saverio and he really made the experience well worth it. He was on time, polite, and gave us fun insight/history on the wines and towns. The restaurants that they brought us to were top notch and would appease any foodie. Love this company!!

Stefano and Manuela made the experience of booking and touring easy. We didn’t have our own car and Alba Wine Tours allowed us to see parts of Piedmonte we would not have been able see otherwise. They were so friendly, patient, and informative as we toured Barbaresco, La Morra, and Barolo by learning about their history and drinking with the winemakers themselves. I’d highly recommend booking with Alba Wine Tours if you’re looking to experience the wine of the Piedmonte.

We were lucky enough to spend the day with Stefano yesterday on the one-day wine tour of Barolo and Barbaresco. We cannot speak highly enough of him and the tour he organized. He selected family run wineries that we likely would not have found on our own, selected a beautiful spot for lunch (Olga's), and provided lots of local history and cultural details as the day progressed. He picked us up from and returned us to our apartment in Alba (and was very kind to return something that we left in his van a day later). All in all, a fantastic experience.

So we go on this truffle hunt, we find three truffles and we go back to Stefano's house where his lovely wife cooks us an amazing meals incorporating the truffles. What more do you need to know? Stefano is beyond passionate for his region and it shows. He is incredibly helpful explaining the wine of the region, the styles, the food, you name it. Our two days with Stefano flew by. We had a blast tasting wine at multiple places in the Barolo and Barbaresco regions. Our meals were all terrific. He was polite and professional and a great driver/guide with very good English. Do yourself a favor, don't just hire a driver. Hire a guide. Hire someone who cares. Someone who won't bring you to only the big commercial wineries. Stefano brought us to two brothers in Barbaresco who have a small but tremendous operation. It may not be the newest machines, or fancy basements with multi-million dollar barrels, but it was real. It was a farm. It was natural. They cared and it showed. That's what happens when you have a guide that knows his stuff. Our week in Italy was highlighted by our two days with Stefano. We had an absolute blast and you will too.
